Many in today’s media want to blame racism for any and all opposition to President Obama. Is he a socialist because he is black? Is he black because he is a socialist? I think the answer is no to both questions.
Therefore can the conclusion be drawn that is the socialism in his policies and administration that is drawing the ire of the American people?
If the American people were told that the policies are indeed socialist, the revolt would be incredibly fast. It is the media’s inexcusable journalistic malpractice that has kept the “S” word away from the eyes and ears of the people, that is at the root of his problems. If President Obama and his administration are so proud of the direction they are taking, why the hiding from reality?
People relate socialism to the Soviet Union; they could barely bake bread and feed their own people. They relate it to the malaise that is France. The French have a wonderful lifestyle which is easy when it is up to someone else to defend them - namely the US.
Socialism is defined by Cuba, China, Venezuela et al and the human rights, environmental and social atrocities and no one wants that here.
Does that mean that the right including Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Glen Beck offer a better solution? Hardly. They are exactly as wrong about things as is the current administration, except their side is easier to digest.
Freedom is freedom. It comes at a price and it is far from free. It means personal responsibility and a dedication to ensuring that your life produces only good things for yourself and others. That in itself is hard; too hard for some.
Without success and failure as incentives, people would be hard pressed to find a motivation for anything. There has to be a value assigned to something to have it mean anything. Today, most want their cake and eat it too. It’s not possible.
Correct is correct and wrong is wrong. It is time that we all look at things and honestly assess their place in our value set. We need to begin to tell those who have placed themselves out front that we will speak and think for ourselves, so sit down and be quiet. You’re giving us a headache.
Oh and by the way… the National Debt has increased by $1.792 TRILLION since the fiscal year began. You can blame the moron Bush for his adding $4.217 TRILLION to the debt, but at this pace President Obama will add $7.1 to $14.3 TRILLION to the debt in the next 4 to 8 years depending on his re-election. His spending will make the idiot Bush look like a piker!
